Subdomains are a subsection of your main domain used to create different areas for your website. It exists as subdirectories of public_html (the document root) or your account’s home folder. 

 

This can assist you in organizing your website. For example, you can create content areas for your website blog by making a subdomain from your main domain. Your blog can be accessed from blog.yoho.com and www.yoho.com/blog.

 

How to create a Subdomain in cPanel?

Step-1 Login to cPanel. Click the ‘Subdomains’ in the ‘Domains’ section.

Step-2 Type the subdomain name you want to create. Then select the name of the domain under which it should be created. Choose a subdirectory to store your subdomain files in your account’s home directory (above public_html).

Step-3 Click the Create button to complete the process.  Subdomains will be created.
